Cast-iron shield bearing number 16 (front)
Cast-iron shields measuring 6.2cm high x 7.5cm wide, each with a number on the front; screw-holes and recess on back, possibly to fit a post or similar. Originally blue ground, white numbers, but most traces of colour gone. Purpose unknown.
